Blue Cheese Burgers
These Burgers are Perfect! Blue Cheese Burgers are our preference for this Fourth! These burgers can be prepared one of two ways … with a creamy blue cheese topping or with the blue cheese mixed right into the ground beef. Both recipes are delicious. The second is a little less time consuming and the first recipe gives a bit more blue cheese taste. You decide. You can’t go wrong!
Simply melt your favorite blue cheese in a heavy saucepan over low heat. Add a tablespoon of butter to the cheese and heat through to make more spreadable.
1/3 Cup blue cheese crumbles is enough for 3 to four burgers. Spread over cooked burgers and serve.
#2 In the Mix
1 Pound ground beef-85% lean
1/3 Cup Gorgonzola Cheese crumbles
1/4 Cup green onion-sliced-white portion only
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1/4 Teaspoon pepper
Mix all ingredients. Shape into 3 large or 4 small patties. BBQ to your choice of doneness or cook as you would a pan seared steak. Do not overcook.
