Influenced by a Quaker Oats recipe. A little different take on an oatmeal cookie. Crispy edges surround this buttery spicy cookie. A great change up.

Apple Pie Pastry
One dessert all the family LOVES is apple pie. Sometimes the crowd is too large for one pie, and you may wish to have a dessert spread with choices. This is perfect, and even works as a finger food. This repost can be seen here. Enjoy! And Happy Holidays!
Chardonnay Cake
Two Ways
A cake with presence! This is our holiday cake this year. It’s liked by all the family. Yes, we have family not into chocolate nor cheesecake, pumpkin spice or nuts. This deliciously fits the bill. And it loosens up my time in the kitchen. For the recipe check out my original recipe post, Chardonnay Cake with Buttercream.
An alternative is a box mix version. Yes, I’ve made this too! Allrecipes’ Wine Cake, here.
Quick, easy, and Holiday presentable!
Max’s Sweet and Saucy Birthday Party
We love a party! And when you add Sweet and Saucy Shop to the mix … It’s just amazing. Max’s 3rd Birthday and what a time we had.
Mickey pancakes smothered in berries with bacon and eggs on the side. Mmm. Then the delicious cake from Sweet and Saucy. Check out this shop here. It’s amazing!
We picked up a few extra treats to have later too.
Happy Birthday Max!
More Please Pound Cake
Any time of year is a great time for Pound Cake. Serve with fruit in season or go it alone with a bit of powdered sugar. A little dollop or a big dollop of whipped cream is great too. Rich, moist and the perfect texture … One cake you’ll make over and over for family and friends.
Wrap it up and give it as a gift!
This was last year’s Thanksgiving bread and it was perfect! After years of homemade bread and rolls at Thanksgiving our baker was invited to another celebration, and forgot to at least provide us with some great baked goods. Haha.
Enjoy this recipe together with pictures. Give it a try. And you’ll see what we missed this year.
